Amazing historical hotel in ...

Amazing historical hotel in Japan town with a very rich Victorian style decor. The room was clean and spacious. The complementary WiFi worked perfectly. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only two minor downsides from my perspective: 1) breakfast quality, which was just ok but nothing really amazing (easy fix: plenty of options available closeby). And 2) the state of the building infrastructure, which was sometime less than ideal. Particularly the windows, which did not provide adequate noise and thermical isolation. As a result, the room can get a bit cold, especially when it's windy (which is not uncommon in San Francisco) and in turn required to switch on the noisy heater. Wish they could do some improvements / renovation there. But overall, very nice experience and good quality / cost ratio

What a great place to stay.

Stayed here on our first trip to San Francisco. Wonderful hotel that seems more like a large Bed & Breakfast. Friendly staff and wonderfully decorated hotel. Very comfortable room. Highly recommend this place

Very nice stay

Way over the top decorated rooms. I loved them! The rooms are big and very comfortable. The major attraction was the 24 hour tea and coffee on offer. Its located near a busy street but when you close the windows its much more quiet. The lounge next to the reception is very comfortable and the reception staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a bit let down though because it doesnt have much variety and the cups are way too small. There is only a coffee maker in the bedroom but i guess you can make tea with that if you want. I would stay there again for sur

Came to San Francisco ...

Came to San Francisco for a concert and had reservations at a different hotel. Arrived at 5pm and while walking to our hotel, they called and cancelled, saying there was a problem with our room. Now what? We quickly scrambled and called Queen Anne. They had a room and at a competitive rate. We went right over and checked in. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is a great representation of the era and each floor had an array of period pieces and tapestries. Very ornate furniture and artwork. It's very cool. Our room was cozy and comfortable. Had everything we needed. They offer a free breakfast each morning of waffles, sausage, eggs, muffins, fruit, cereal, etc. with coffee and tea service 24hrs in the lobby. We are glad we ended up here instead of the other hotel. Was a cool place to stay and super convenient to Japan Town and the Fillmore
