What a great place to stay.

Stayed here on our first trip to San Francisco. Wonderful hotel that seems more like a large Bed & Breakfast. Friendly staff and wonderfully decorated hotel. Very comfortable room. Highly recommend this place

Very nice stay

Way over the top decorated rooms. I loved them! The rooms are big and very comfortable. The major attraction was the 24 hour tea and coffee on offer. Its located near a busy street but when you close the windows its much more quiet. The lounge next to the reception is very comfortable and the reception staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a bit let down though because it doesnt have much variety and the cups are way too small. There is only a coffee maker in the bedroom but i guess you can make tea with that if you want. I would stay there again for sur

Tons of character, great service, not too convenient for work

Good: beautiful, tons of character, great breakfast Con: not very suited for business travelers- no real work desk, breakfast start at 7. Price was right ( Hotwire). Would repeat if necessary, but not first choice

Charming Hotel

The hotel and staff were great as well as other guests. On most of the afternoons while we enjoyed tea and sherry in the parlour guest would sit down and play the baby grand piano while we played chess and other games, it was such a relaxing way to wind down after a busy afternoon. The concierge was amazing and very friendly, she helped us with dinner plans almost every night and with car arrangements. The entire staff was great, we really enjoyed our stay over Spring Break
