Booked this hotel on line whilst staying with relatives in California. Needed overnight accommodation before flight home from SFO.
This hotel is very quirky,a step back in time.
Reserved two rooms, 1 double and 1 family....$600+ for one night inc breakfast.....quite pricey taking everything into account
We had a really good deal on a price for this hotel . It's located in a really good area of the city , while the hotel itself is little outdated ( which is part of its charm ) we found that we liked it a lot . It has a great atmosphere , and added bonus was that breakfast was included ( which we did not partake in ) and we loved that they offer complimentary cookies and cherry in the afternoons . All in all it was a nice stay and we would gladly come back to this place because of its value and quirkiness
Centrally located. Quiet for SF. Rooms are nice, not extravagant. Love the afternoon sherry and cookies. Common area is perfect for chilling out. Breakfast is meh, you'll want to eat elsewhere if muffins and waffles aren't your thing. Hosts are very pleasant and accommodating. Price is very reasonable
We always try to stay here when in San Francisco, it's quiet, great location, reasonable price and just a gorgeous Victorian hotel. When we arrived for check in they had upgraded our room because it was our wedding anniversary. Wine waiting, smooth check in and the nicest people work here. Christmas decorations that made it so festive!
When we got to our room we found a large, clean, comfortable, beautifully furnished room. We were next to the elevator for the 4 nights and never heard a sound.
The breakfast was not gourmet but a filling and plentiful start to our days. Coffee-excellent and available all day long. They have a happy hour each afternoon in the big parlor (there are 2) with cookies, hot drinks and port.
Comfortable bed, amazing view, several common areas with fireplaces with cozy fires and attended to our every need. LOVE this hotel and we highly recommend it
